Sharif D is most commonly known for his trademark sax ad-lib performances through out the Australian East coast festival, club and bar scene. However it has been his music production that has been on the steady rise for the past few years.  Firstly signing with UK electronica label Summer rain recordings (in 2008) and then signing over to German label Diventa Music (2010), his early release's delved more into Down Tempo, Trip Hop and Acid jazz. However with his on going musical experience in the club scene his production has slowly moved towards the dance floor.

Incorporating most forms of House, Bass music, Disco (young & old) & main room. He has also accumulated some recent chart success with his solo collaborations & with his other group ‘Sax Drive’.

 

Sax Drive placed at #2 on the ARIA Club Charts for their cover of ‘Dancing on my own’ (2023) & #3 for their track ‘At Night’ (2022).  #3 on the ARIA club chart ‘One love’ (2021) with his solo collab with Bust R. 

 

Sharif has also been the predominant sax player live with The Kings of the Australian Doof scene ‘Mood Swing & Chevy Bass’. Headlining multiple festivals through out the Australian East coast.

 

With the growing success of their releases & also their renown energy filled live performances & love for showmanship.  Sharif is also a key member (writing and production) with his group Date Night alongside band mates Mike Dean and Anders Magnusson.  Accolades include multiple air play on JJJ, reaching #3 on the ARIA Club Charts (2016) as part of the L'tric 1994 release package, reaching no.21 on the Spotify Viral Charts (2016), nominated for APRA song of the year (2016), self released album (2016) amongst other various growing accomplishments.
